But the LORD said to Samuel, “Don’t judge by his appearance or height, for I have rejected him. The LORD doesn’t see things the way you see them. People judge by outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” (NLT) -1 Samuel 16:7
Studies show we make snap judgements about people within about a tenth of a second from meeting them. Our brains are wired to accept or reject people based on what we see. Thankfully this is not how God works. He looks past our appearances and examines our hearts. A pure heart is what God desires in us more than anything else.
